De bekende percussionist Gerardo Rosales en vooraanstaande pianist, dirigent en arrangeur Guillaume Marcenac slaan de handen ineen voor hun album Charanjazz. Een project waar de vonken van af vliegen door gepeperde dansritmes als de mambo en chachacha, maar ook de joropo en guaguancó. Tijdens een optreden van dit gezelschap waan je je in Latijns-Amerika. Opzwepende percussie, virtuoze piano, zang en viool; het is lastig stilzitten. De van oorsprong Venezolaanse Rosales is al 45 jaar professioneel actief en nu een van de boegbeelden van de Nederlandse latin scene. De klassiek geschoolde Marcenac komt uit Frankrijk, maar streek tevens neer in Nederland. Hij is een opvallende figuur in de muziekwereld door zijn vernieuwende artistieke stijl en zijn dynamische spel. Al 20 jaar tourt hij langs prestigieuze jazzfestivals en concertzalen met grote internationale sterren en groepen.

Renowned percussionist Gerardo Rosales and acclaimed pianist, conductor, and arranger Guillaume Marcenac join forces for their album Charanjazz. A vibrant project bursting with fiery dance rhythms such as mambo, cha-cha-cha, joropo, and guaguancó. During their performances, audiences are transported straight to Latin America. Driving percussion, virtuosic piano, vocals, and violin create an energetic and immersive musical experience that makes it almost impossible to stay seated. Originally from Venezuela, Gerardo Rosales has been professionally active for 45 years and is now considered one of the leading figures of the Dutch latin music scene. Classically trained Guillaume Marcenac comes from France and is also based in the Netherlands. He has become a remarkable figure in the music world thanks to his innovative artistic style and dynamic playing. For more than 20 years, he has toured prestigious jazz festivals and concert halls alongside internationally renowned artists and ensembles.

Le célèbre percussionniste Gerardo Rosales et le pianiste, chef d’orchestre et arrangeur de renom Guillaume Marcenac unissent leurs talents autour de leur album Charanjazz. Un projet débordant d’énergie où les rythmes enflammés du mambo, du cha-cha-cha, du joropo et du guaguancó font jaillir les étincelles. Lors de leurs concerts, le public est immédiatement transporté en Amérique latine. Percussions envoûtantes, piano virtuose, chant et violon se mêlent dans une expérience musicale intense et festive où il devient difficile de rester assis. Pianiste de formation classique, Guillaume Marcenac est originaire de France et s’est également installé aux Pays-Bas. Grâce à son style artistique novateur et à son jeu dynamique, il s’est imposé comme une personnalité marquante du monde musical. Depuis plus de vingt ans, il se produit dans de prestigieux festivals de jazz et salles de concert aux côtés de groupes et d’artistes internationaux renommés.
